Unlicensed Registration Requirement with the State of Minnesota
The State of Minnesota requires all unlicensed electrical workers to be register as Unlicensed. If you are unlicensed and performing electrical work in the State of Minnesota, you must complete the registration form found at the link below, and pay a $19 fee.
The registration requires an annual renewal.
In addition, installation credit for work performed after January 1, 2009 will not be granted unless you are registered as unlicensed. Renewal of unlicensed registration will also require the completion of an approved, 2-hour NEC code class.
Minnesota Unlicensed Electrical Registration
Our classes are approved by the Minnesota Department of Electrical Licensing and qualify to meet the requirements for continuing education to maintain/renew the Power Limited Technician License.
Members and contractor employees signatory to the Minnesota Limited Energy Agreement are elligible to register for classes at a reduced cost.
