Apprenticeship Training Schedules

Continuing Education
The following classes are not open to the public. Class participants must be an IBEW Union Member or employed by a contractor signatory to the Minnesota Limited Energy Agreement.
Power Limited Technician License Prep Class
This class is a total of 16 hours. Weekday hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on scheduled dates. Saturday classes are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participants will need a current NEC Code Book. They are available for purchase at the JATC. Please refer to our most current newsletter for other books needed.
Fridley (8:00 am to 4:30 pm each day)

Cost for this class $50.00
FOA Fiber Optics Certification (16 hour PLTL)
Fridley (5:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night)
August 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24 & 26, 2010 (Tuesday/Thursday)
Cost for this class $200.00 (includes textbook and test) (Maximum Class Size 14)
License Renewal Classes (8 hours PLTL Credit)
The following classes are available to signatory members of the Minnesota Limited Energy Agreement for $25; nonsignatory members and the general public for a fee of $125 per class.
Our JATC has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Electrical Licensing
for continuing education credit that qualifies for renewal of the Power Limited Technician License.
All of these classes include the required NEC code. Please call our office at 763-571-5922 for more information.

All classes are scheduled for our Fridley training facility unless otherwise noted.
The hours for Saturday classes will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is not provided. Weekday classes will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will require attendance on both days to qualify for the continuing education credit for the Power Limited Technician License.
Please bring your NEC Code Book to all classes.
